Individuals with temporary or permanent mobility issues or those who have been certified legally blind may receive a disabled parking permit. The permit entitles the disabled person or the driver transporting the disabled passenger to park in spaces designated for the handicapped.

Permanent parking permits are issued for up to four years and expire on the customer’s birthday. Renewals are for a full four years. The customer must have a valid Florida Driver License or Identification Card and present application form HSMV 83039 signed by the customer and the certifying authority within the last 12 months. There is no charge for a permanent parking permit. Permanent parking permits may be renewed on-line at www.GoRenew.com , by mail (as long as the applicant has submitted/submits the form HSMV 83039 completed and signed by the certifying authority within the last 12 months), or in person in our office.

Temporary parking permits are issued for a period up to six months. The customer must have a valid Florida Driver License or Identification Card and present application form HSMV 83039 signed by the customer and the certifying authority. The cost for the temporary parking permit is $15. If a second temporary parking permit is issued to the customer within 12 months there will be no charge. Temporary parking permits may not be renewed on-line or by mail; you must appear in the office with your completed application HSMV 83039 signed by the certifying authority.
