Applications for personalized license plates must be submitted to the Tax Collector’s Office. Form 83043 You may apply at any time to receive a personalized license plate for a vehicle that has a current Florida license plate and decal.

License plates with a center design may contain up to seven characters (with an additional space or hyphen). Those license plates with a left design may contain up to five characters (including an additional space or hyphen).

Personalized plates can not be issued on any vehicle which requires “Apportioned”, “Restricted”, “Wrecker” or “dual” (two) truck plates or vehicles requiring semi-annual registration.

Sixty days should be allowed for the processing of a personalized plate application.

Additional fees are required for an original issuance or issuance or renewal of a personalized plate.
