License Plate Information Menu Renew Registration Online

Please review the following information before making an on-line payment!

At the present time, the Leon County Tax Collector’s Office provides our customers who wish to renew their vehicle, vessel, or mobile home registration (license plate or decal) with a direct link to the DHSMV Virtual Office, a secure website site maintained by the Florida Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles. You will need:

  • The last four digits of your Social Security Number or FEID.
  • Personal Identification Number [PIN] or your license plate number(s) – both of which appear on your renewal notice - or driver license number.
  • Credit/Debit Cards which have a credit company insignia (logo) on it.

Note: Registration renewal notices are mailed to owners approximately 45 days prior to the month in which expiration occurs. If you have not received your renewal notice at least 2 weeks prior to the date of expiration (your birthday), please call our Customer Service telephone center at (850) 488-4735.

Attention: Multiple renewal payments may be processed during on-line transactions. Owners of more than one auto (vehicle), etc., should have more than one registration renewal notice. In such instances, owners may conduct one on-line transaction for all renewal notices.
